Hendersonville attorney misappropriates funds, surrenders law license

From the Times-News:

A Hendersonville attorney has been disbarred after a Wake County judge signed an order finding that John “Jack” Tate misappropriated funds.

Court documents show that Tate surrendered his license to practice law in North Carolina on Wednesday. An affidavit filed with the General Court of Justice, Superior Court Division, and signed by Tate acknowledges that he misappropriated $120,000 of client funds and used those funds for his personal purposes.
