It takes two to make Valentine’s Day special, but Highland Brewing Co. is upping the ante with six limited release beers at their ‘Beer My Valentine’ event, hosted in the brewery’s tasting room on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 2-9 p.m. With live modern jazz by Up Jumped Three (6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) and food truck delicacies from Doc Brown and Smash Box, the free soiree is a sweet option among Asheville’s plethora of Valentine’s Day gatherings.

Here’s the specialty brew lineup from Highland:

Lyda My Life – chocolate milk stout
CoCo Oh No – made with cocoa nibs and has a very subtle cherry finish
Gettin’ Figgy Wit’ It – a mellow brown ale brewed with Fig Newtons
Tony Kiss – We brewed this smooth brown ale in honor of the Beer Guy, Tony Kiss.
Hansel & Gret Ale – a malty brown ale spiced with vanilla, and both fresh and dried ginger
Whiskey Barrel-Aged Black Mocha Stout – This beer spent three months in a whiskey barrel and picked up the oak and vanilla notes beautifully.

As always, pints will be available for tasting room patrons. All-specialty flights will be priced at $12 each.
