Humane Society adoption event on Saturday, Dec. 14

Press Release

Asheville Humane Society

Asheville Humane Society and Asheville’s Prestige Subaru will join the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Subaru of America for its annual year-end “Share the Love” campaign and celebration with a special adoption event at the Prestige dealership on December 14.

Event: Share the Love Adoption Event
Location: Prestige Subaru, Adventure Center, 599 Tunnel Rd, Asheville, NC
Date & Time: Saturday, December 14, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

There will be a variety of healthy, loveable cats and dogs just waiting for a second chance at a happy life in a new loving home! All adopted animals have been spayed or neutered, have received their initial round of vaccinations as well as preventive treatment for fleas and ticks and have been microchipped.

In addition, Prestige Subaru owner Tony Pelle will be on hand to present Asheville Humane Society Interim President, Jennifer Brehler, with a check for $23,500. This donation is 100% of the winning bid from the auction of a 2014 Subaru Outback at Asheville Humane Society’s annual “Taste of Compassion” fundraiser, held last month. The check signing presentation is scheduled for 1 pm.

For every new Subaru purchased or leased during the “Share the Love” event, now through January 2, 2014, Subaru donates $250 to the owner’s choice of participating charities, one of which is ASPCA. Donations collected will then be available in the form of grants from the ASPCA to local organizations, including Asheville Humane Society.
