“I’m Not Dead Yet!” cancer crushing party with a purpose, May 20

Press release:

Young mom, Julie Loveless, fights second battle with breast cancer and needs experimental treatments, not covered by insurance, to sustain her life. Fundraiser party and auction to pay for cancer care to be held on May 20, 2018, 4:00-9:00pm, at The Block off Biltmore (39 S Market Street 28801).

Two and a half years ago, at the age of 37, Julie Loveless was diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer (Stage IV). Despite a grim prognosis, Julie has outlived all the predictions of medical professionals because she simply wants to see, Emma, her 12-year-old daughter grow up. Health insurance will not cover many of the life sustaining experimental treatments that Julie needs, so she, her family, and her friends are raising money so she can continue her fight. “Cancer Crushing Party with a Purpose” will be held at The Block in downtown Asheville on May 20 from 4:00-9:00 pm.

The Cancer Crushing Party with a Purpose will feature 3 local bands, dancers, a silent auction, and a vegan, gluten-free Italian feast by Anthony Cerrato (of Strada). There will be a suggested donation of $25 at the door and a cash bar.  Julie also has a GoFundMe account for receiving donations from those who cannot attend – www.gofundme.com/julieloveless
