In-person story time returns to Buncombe County Public Libraries

In-person story time is back. Buncombe County Public Libraries (BCPL) is excited to announce librarians will start offering in-person story times the week of May 24. There will be story times for all ages spread out across the library system so you can find one that works for your schedule. There will be two bilingual Spanish-English story times for any interested families.

The current schedule is:

Baby Story Time

Join BCPL for a lively language enrichment story time designed for children ages 4 to 18 months.

Oakley/South Asheville Library – Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
Leicester Library – Saturdays at 10:30 a.m.
Weaverville Library – Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Toddler Story Time

Join BCPL for a fun and interactive story time designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years.

North Asheville Library – Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
Fairview Library – Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Leicester Library – Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Enka-Candler Library – Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Preschool Story Time

Join BCPL for a story time designed for children ages 3 to 5 years as we share books, songs, rhymes, and activities.

East Asheville Library – Saturdays at 10:30 a.m.
West Asheville Library – Saturdays at 10:30 a.m.
Swannanoa Library – Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Fairview Library – Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Black Mountain Library – Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Pack Memorial Library – Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.
Weaverville Library – Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Hora Del Cuento/Story Time

Join BCPL for a bilingual hora del cuento (story time)!  We’ll share books, rhymes, and songs in Spanish and in English–fun for the whole family.

Skyland/South Buncombe Library – Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
Oakley/South Asheville Library – Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Library story times get everyone involved with stories, songs, and movement. Story time is a great way for children to explore literacy skills, develop a love of reading, and make new friends.
