InnovateHER women’s business idea contest announced

Mountain BizWorks invites local women in business to submit business plans for a chance to win $70,000.

Interested applicants must submit a business plan for a product or service that will measurably improve the lives of women and families. Suggested businesses also should be able to be commercialized and should fit a need in the marketplace.

Business plans should be submitted to Julia Staines at Mountain BizWorks by Tuesday, November 3. Contestants will then pitch their plans to a panel of local judges on November 10 at the Asheville Chamber of Commerce from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided at the event.

National finalists will present pitches to a panel of judges for a chance to win the final cash award.

Contact Julia Staines at julia@mountainbizworks.org or (828) 253-2834 x10 with any questions.
