Jackson County Arts Council presents monthly “Artist Talk”

Press release from Jackson County Arts Council:

The “Artist Talk” for June, sponsored by the Jackson County Arts Council, will feature musician and instructor Iva Veazey. Please join us for an artistic look at composing music on your laptop or iPad (please bring your own if possible). She will demonstrate easy ways to create music without you even knowing how to write or play music. For those with musical experience, this event will help find new angles to add to your creative tool box. This hands-on demonstration will have you composing music in no time.

Veazey studied music at Western Carolina University, Grand Canyon University, and NYU- The New School and has been a music instructor for over 30 years. She currently resides in Sylva where she teaches piano to children of all ages.

This Artist Talk will take place on Monday, June 12 from 6p to 7p in the Community Room of the Jackson County Library Complex. Everyone is encouraged to attend this demonstration. There is no charge for this event.

Artist Talks are sponsored monthly by the Jackson County Arts Council as an effort to celebrate the many artists and art forms in Jackson County.
