Jackson County NAACP hosts climate presentation Sept. 21

Press release from the Jackson County NC NAACP:

The Members of the Jackson County Branch of the NC NAACP will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, in the downstairs Fellowship Hall of Liberty Baptist Church, Scott’s Creek Road, Sylva NC 28779.

The 11:00 a.m. program “Combating the Climate Crisis” will be presented by Steffi Rausch, Lead Organizer for The Citizens Climate Lobby. The CCL is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change. CCL teaches supporters to work on concerns in their local community.

The public is invited to attend and to join in the discussion.
