JB Media Group teams with Our VOICE to spread mission

JB Media Group, Asheville’s leading Internet Marketing agency, has partnered with Our VOICE for the 2014 business year, providing staff training and marketing support for the non-profit as they prepare to celebrate their 40-year anniversary. Our VOICE is a crisis intervention and prevention agency serving victims of sexual violence in Buncombe County since 1974.

“At JB Media Group, we feel that it’s very important to find ways to support the local community. We are very excited to be working alongside Our VOICE to help them spread their message and mission in a more strategic and sustainable way,” said Justin Belleme, owner and founder of JB Media Group.

Angelica Wind, the Executive Director of Our VOICE said that since working with JB Media Group, “We are no longer behind the curve.”

“JB Media Group has taught us how we, as a small non-profit, can be a powerful voice via social media,” said Wind.

Recently, JB Media Group hosted a private 40 Under 40 event with a silent auction to benefit Our VOICE, with items donated from local Asheville artists and businesses, including:

Earlier this year, Belleme participated in Our VOICE’s popular Walk a Mile fundraising event, as part of the International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault, and Gender Violence. In the annual event, men walk one mile through downtown in heels and raise money through sponsorships. Coming up in September, JB Media Group will provide promotional support for Our VOICE’s 40th Anniversary event featuring a special high-profile guest to be announced soon. In addition, an Our VOICE staff member will have their tuition waived for the summer session of the JB Media Institute, which starts on June 17th and runs through July 24th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3-6 pm. The JB Media Institute is the educational training program of JB Media Group, providing a six-week, comprehensive, in-person Internet marketing school taught by Belleme, and Sarah Benoit, the Director of Training.

“Sometimes I feel that I am dreaming with how blessed we have been with our relationship with Justin and the JB Media staff. I think to myself–Wait, you are not only donating high quality services, you are also supporting our events AND you are raising money for us, please pinch me to make sure I’m not dreaming,” said Wind.
