Our LGBTQ community collaborative event for National Coming Out Day was amazing! It was incredible seeing so many diverse LGBTQ voices and agencies represented in one room. JCC GLOW wants to help continue the dialogue on a more intimate level. We are planning another event, Homo for the Holidays. This will be a one-on-one dialogue – set up in the “speed dating” style. Participants will respond to question prompts on the topics of the winter holidays, intersectionality, commonalities, and dissimilarities to better understand what our Asheville LGBTQ community looks like. After the dialogue, we will have a vegetarian potluck. The event will take place in the JCC Seminar Rooms on Tuesday, November 26th from 6:30-8:00pm.
