Keever hosting Aug. 7 Asheville roundtable on women’s issues

Here’s the press release from the North Carolina Democratic Party:

Rep. Patsy Keever to Discuss Impacts of Republican Actions and a Romney Presidency on North Carolina Women
Area women will discuss economic and health issues they are facing

Asheville, NC—Rep. Patsy Keever, Democratic candidate for the 10th Congressional District, will host a roundtable discussion with area women focused on the economic and health issues they face everyday. Since taking office, President Obama has cut taxes for middle class families, given women the power to fight back when they don’t receive equal pay for equal work, and protected women’s access to quality, affordable health care. Mitt Romney’s proposals mirror Republican attempts in North Carolina to roll back these protections, and the roundtable will address the impact a Romney Presidency would have on North Carolina women.

This event will take place Tuesday, August 7 at 5:00 PM. It will also serve as the Democratic response to the SheVotes bus tour event.
