Kerri Maniscalco, author of “Stalking Jack the Ripper,” reads at Spellbound Children’s Bookshop, Oct. 2

PRESS RELEASE FROM SPELLBOUND BOOKSHOP:

Spellbound Children’s Bookshop is thrilled to welcome author Kerri Maniscalco on Sunday October 2nd at 3:00 p.m. Kerri’s debut novel Stalking Jack the Ripper just hit the shelves last week and debuted at #1 on the New York Times Young Adult Hardcover bestseller list.

A great crossover read for teens and adults, it’s a Gothic historical thriller featuring a young woman whose interest in the burgeoning field of forensic science involves her in the search for the most notorious serial killer of all time. Not for the squeamish, this novel doesn’t spare the gory details but balances the darkness with engaging characters and plenty of witty repartee.

Stalking jack the Ripper is one of the first titles to be released under the Jimmy Patterson imprint at Hachette Book Group, James Patterson’s new imprint for younger readers.

Meet Kerri Maniscalco Sunday at 3:00. Free presentation and refreshments followed by book signing at Spellbound Children’s Bookshop at 640 Merrimon Avenue, upstairs from The Hop in the Merrimon Square shopping center. Call 828-575-2266 or visit www.spellboundbookshop.com for details or to reserve a copy of the book.
