Kick It Events to host 5k and 10k races in December running series

Announcement from Kick It Event Management:

Kick It Event Management, of Asheville, is inviting area runners looking for safe, in-person running events, to check out the Snowflake Chaser Running Series. Participants can register on-line only at www.KickItEvents.com and choose from the 5k or 10k option. One registration fee signs you up for four races. Races take place Dec. 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. Runners can run any and all of those races.  Timing of the race will be rolling so as to keep Covid safe spacing of runners.

Official race timing will occur between 9am and 11am. Participants can choose when they’d like to run and show up anytime in the “Timing Range” as long as they finish by 11am.

Both the 5k and 10k courses highlight the newly finished sections of the River Arts District Greenway. Race starting line is on the greenway next to the parking lot on Riverside Dr. directly under the Jeff Bowen Bridge.

Thanks to matching donations from Kick It Events and Catawba Brewing, every race entry earns a $10 donation to MANNA Food Bank. A $10 donation is equal to 40 meals for families in our community!!

Race entry fees include the following:

  • Long sleeved race t-shirt
  • Custom Race Bib
  • Beer at Catawba Brewing’s South Slope tasting room

Race awards thanks to Jus’ Running.
