Kickstarter campaign to publish “Lark & Eagle”

Flat Rock-based comic book artist Steve Johnson is reading his 20-page book, “Lark & Eagle Issue #1” for publication.

Johnson writes, “My comic is about a pair of washed-up heroes, Lark and Eagle, given a second chance by by a reality television show called Hero Overhaul. I am writing the book while an amazing artist from Chile named Toro Diego is illustrating. Handling the lettering is an award-winning gentleman named Tom Orzechowski who has lettered comic books such as Uncanny X-Men and Spawn. JK Woodward, who attended ACE here in Asheville this past fall, will be painting a print.”

The goal for the project is $4,500, and Johnson has just under a month to go. See the opening pages and learn more about the project here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/93954597/lark-and-eagle-issue-1
