Land of the Sky Chorus presents A Cappella Fest, May 13

The LAND OF THE SKY CHORUS will present its 60th annual show, this year entitled “A CAPPELLA FEST 2017”, Saturday, May 13, 7:30 PM, at the DIANA WORTHAM THEATRE, 18 Biltmore Ave., Asheville.

The show will feature the chorus, which is part of the Asheville Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society; top Carolinas barbershop quartet Let’s Sing, making a return visit; popular local doo wop group, ShBoom; Asheville’s “a cappella for all occasions” group PASTYME, Owen’s High School quartet, Perfect 4th ; and for a special treat, the 50-student REAL MEN SING CHORUS.

Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for students, 12, and under, are no charge. Tickets are available at the door, through the Diana Wortham Box Office (www.dwtheatre.com), the chorus website, www.ashevillebarbershop.com, or by phoning 866-290-7269.

The Chapter, established in 1948, is the largest male a cappella organization in NC. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to support music education in local high schools (i.e. the REAL MEN SING CHORUS will be formed from a workshop to be held earlier in the day for local high school males, grades 10-12).
