Late-night upgrades to impact Frontier service in Yancey County

Press release from Frontier Communications:

A required equipment upgrade in Frontier Communications’ Burnsville network facility will be performed between midnight and 1 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15. During this time, no phone or internet service will be available.

This work is anticipated to take no more than one hour or less. All cell towers served by the Burnsville office will also be affected, except for a potential signal from towers that overlap on the edges of the Burnsville service area.

“Frontier Communications thanks our customers for their patience as our engineers complete this required network upgrade,” said Melanie Williams, Senior Vice President of Operations for Frontier.
