Local muralists will paint the Asheville Cancer Center parking deck

Press release:

Asheville’s local star mural painters will gather in August to beautify the entire first floor of the parking deck at the Cancer Center. On August 25th and 26th doctors, patients, and members of the public are invited to participate in a collaborative mural wall meant to create inspiration and hope at the Cancer Center for those who must walk through its doors. This is a very large space, so please help make this dream come true! Funds are being raised for art materials at the Go Fund Me link below:

The theme of this collaborative artwork is Hope. Artists will be using their own signature styles to weave together the many colors of Cancer Awareness Ribbons, bold patterns, textures, and powerful imagery from North Carolina’s abundant natural world. While creating a permanent piece of uplifting artwork for the Cancer Center this event will also create an opportunity for those whose lives are affected by cancer to gather in a context of whimsey, creativity, live music and collective acknowledgement. Participants are encouraged to pick up a brush and paint! Your favorite locals artists will be available to assist.
