Local restaurants raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Harvey

Press release from Heirloom Hospitality Group:

Heirloom Hospitality Group has organized an effort among the Asheville food and beverage community to raise money for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The fundraiser, called “Benevolent Spirits: Houston” and lasting from September 1-7, will donate all proceeds from select drinks served at participating Asheville bars and restaurants to the Harvey relief fund at The Greater Houston Community Foundation, The Center for Disaster Philanthropy and the Houston Food Bank.

Cúrate will have one drink special and Nightbell will have two (exact names TBD) that guests can order to help support the cause. Donation envelopes will also be available for direct contributions. The participation list is growing, but so far includes Carmel’s, Karen Donatelli Bakery & Cafe, Zambra, The Cantina and the Chocolate Fetish.
