Ellen Trnka, Howie Johnson and Craig Woody perform at Art House Gallery, Aug. 30

The Art House Gallery & Studio announces its next Saturday concert: Ellen Trnka, Howie Johnson and Craig Woody – blues/jazz/rock on electric guitar, acoustic guitar, harmonica plus Ellen’s amazing soulful vocals. Show 7:30-9:30 – venue open 7-11 PM. No cover charge.

“Ellen Trnka is a vocal musician from NYC area residing in WNC since 2002. She’s been singing professionally for over 30 years in blues and jazz bands and in trios, duets and as a soloist. Played in many kinds of venues in NYC area and here in WNC and SC as well. Ellen has opened for/played with national act such as Phoebe Snow, Saffire-”The Uppitty Blues Woman, Marshall Tucker Band, John Pizzarelli, and more. Ms. Trnka plays guitar and sings many styles of music such as blues, jazz standards, country, folk, rock, ballads and her own compositions.”

The Art House is an elegantly decorated but casual venue featuring art by regional artists. Serving beer, wine, soft drinks and a late-night menu. Concerts will be every Saturday night, with plans to add an additional open mic night in the near future.

The Art House is eagerly anticipating an exciting lineup of local and regional performers in coming months. The venue includes 3,000 feet of gallery/performance space, studios, a deck and a cozy couch lounge and outdoor patio with fire pits. A great listening space, a great relaxing place!

The Art House is located 5 Highland Park Road, East Flat Rock, NC.
