Luminaries to light up downtown Hendersonville Saturday, Dec. 12

Press release from Friends of Downtown Hendersonville:

Downtown Hendersonville is always a beautiful place to enjoy the holidays, and this Saturday there will be an additional experience: luminaries lighting the streets! In partnership with the Four Seasons Hospice Foundation, luminaries will guide shoppers to businesses along Main Street and the Avenues, continuing to fill downtown with holiday cheer.

Historic Downtown Hendersonville can be enjoyed by all with wide sidewalks and a safe pedestrian atmosphere that allows for outdoor social distancing. Downtown businesses welcome visitors and residents to a safe holiday shopping and dining experience with ample, heated outdoor seating and “sled-side” pickup from many shops and restaurants. Now, more than ever is the time to “Love Hendo” and focus holiday shopping on local businesses.

Many merchants will continue to dress as “Whoville” characters inspired by The Grinch every weekend in December. Stroll through the streets of Historic Downtown Hendersonville and find creative window displays and holiday cheer this season. Vote for your favorite merchant windows at visithendersonvillenc.org.

In the spirit of #SafeHendo and state mandates, all businesses and customers are asked to follow the 3 W’s – Wear a face covering, Wash your hands and Wait 6 feet apart.
