Malaprop’s Bookstore/Café Celebrates Customers With Three Days of “Giving Thanks”

Press release from Malaprop’s Bookstore/Café:

To thank their customers and to honor the spirit of Thanksgiving, Malaprop’s Bookstore/Café is holding three “Giving Thanks” events on Friday, November 25, Saturday, November 26, and Monday, November 28.

Friday, 11/25/16: Black Friday Kids’ Books/Games/Toys 20%-Off Sale (and free hot cocoa with purchase!)

** All children’s and young adult books, as well as all kids’ toys and games, will be 20% off all day.

** The store will also offer free hot cocoa with a purchase of kids’ items.

** Gift wrappers will be on hand to wrap purchases–as always, gift wrapping is complimentary.

Saturday, 11/26/16: Indies First Small Biz Saturday (and Raffle!)

** Meet WNC authors as they become booksellers-for-a-day at Malaprop’s and learn about the books they’ve chosen as their recommendations for best books of 2016.

** Malaprop’s and four other independent bookstores–Downtown Books & News, The Captain’s Bookshelf, Firestorm Books & Coffee, and Spellbound Children’s Bookshop–are collaborating on a “passport” promotion. Visitors who return the passport to Malaprop’s by Monday, November 28 stamped by all five merchants will be entered in a raffle to win a gift card from each bookstore.

Monday, 11/28/16: Cider Monday

** Why be glued to your computer on Cyber Monday when Malaprop’s will offer hot cider with every purchase?

** Malaprop’s will unveil its list of “Top Staff Book-Picks for 2016” list to assist visitors with their holiday shopping.

Malaprop’s Bookstore/Café is an independent bookstore founded in 1984 to bring books and readers together, and to provide an environment that nurtures community and the exchange of ideas. In addition to books for adults and for children of all ages, we carry a wide variety of gift items. Our café offers treats from local bakeries and fair-trade coffee roasted locally.
