Man pleads guilty to voluntary manslaughter in Mike’s Side Pocket killing

A Buncombe County man pleads guilty in connection with a deadly stabbing rampage in West Asheville. 53-year-old Stevie Davis pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter. Davis stabbed and killed Steven Wike after police say Wike stabbed Davis’s brother, Phillip, and another person to death. The stabbings happened at Mike’s Tavern in April 2012. Stevie Davis was originally charged with first degree murder. He was sentenced to at least five and a half years in prison.
