McCrory signs state of emergency for Highway 441 landslide

Raleigh, N.C. – Today, Governor McCrory signed the following executive order:

EO-2: A DECLARATION OF A STATE OF EMERGENCY BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA: Declaring a state of emergency in Graham, Jackson and Swain counties and areas within the Qualla Boundary of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee as a result of a landslide obstructing both directions on U.S. Highway 441 beginning on January 15, 2013.
