McHenry: I can’t support U.S. military action in Syria

From the office of Congressman Patrick McHenry (R), whose district includes most of Asheville:

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) released the following statement on possible United States military action in Syria:

“After reviewing the evidence and plan presented by the Administration, I do not believe there is a compelling national interest or clear mission for our engagement in the Syrian Civil War. Coupled with the overwhelming and near-unanimous feedback from my constituents opposing military involvement, I cannot support US military action in Syria.”
