McMahon will not seek reelection for Buncombe County Board of Education

Press release from Buncombe County Schools

Cindy McMahon, Reynolds Representative for the Buncombe County Board of Education, has announced that she will not seek reelection in 2022. “It has been a profound honor to serve the families, teachers, and staff of Buncombe County Schools for the past seven years,” she stated, “and I will always advocate for public schools. However, after two terms it will be time for me to step aside to make room for new leadership on the Board.” First elected in 2014, McMahon also served as Vice Chair for three years. Her two children graduated from AC Reynolds High School.
