Meditation in Asheville will host benefit night to raise funds for the center

A Press Release from Meditation in Asheville:

A Garden Party Benefit for the Asheville Kadampa Meditation Center will be held Sunday June 11, 2017. From 12:30-3:30 p.m. in North Asheville, visitors can enjoy live music, a silent auction, raffle and vegetarian food. There is a $10 cover charge, which includes a voucher for a free meditation class. Everyone is welcome! For more information or to get tickets, visit MeditationInAsheville.Org.

Proceeds will help the Asheville Kadampa Meditation Group become an independent meditation center. We are currently the Asheville Branch of Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Our aim is to help the general public to develop inner peace by offering meditation classes and practical Buddhist advice suitable for busy modern life.

Wasn’t it mainly members of the New Kadampa Tradition who were stalking and defaming His Holiness the Dalai Lama around the world not too long ago? Look up ‘New Kadampa Tradition Protests’

I forgot to say, what this group leaves out here is that they’re from the ‘New Kadampa Tradition.’ Whether or not this was intentional because of the bad rap they have with stalking and defaming His Holiness around the world, but it should be mentioned in the article so that people know exactly who it is they’ll be donating to.
