Miss Blue Ridge Pride Pageant will be held Sept. 28

Blue Ridge Pride Center, Inc and Michael-David Entertainment is proud to present our 9th Annual Miss Blue Ridge Pride Pageant! Miss Blue Ridge Pride 2016 – Ginger Von Snap has put together an amazing opening performance. This pageant will feature Miss Blue Ridge Pride alumini* as judges and entertainment for the show.

The Miss Blue Ridge Pride Pageant has grown into a larger venue this year, the Asheville Masonic Temple Theater. This theater offers 2 levels of seating for fantastic views of the show.

*Formers are to be announced as soon as all details are confirmed.

– 5:00pm – DOORS OPEN
– 5:30pm – MEET & GREET
– 6:00pm – COCKTAIL PARTY
– 7:00pm – OPENING OF PAGEANT
– 10:00pm – CLOSING OF PAGEANT

GENERAL ADMISSION
Includes admission to the Miss Blue Ridge Pride Cocktail Party and the Miss Blue Ridge Pride Pageant.

MEET & GREET*
These tickets are in addition to General Admission Tickets and allow admission to the Pre-Pageant Meet & Greet and photo op with the available Miss Blue Ridge Pride alumini, including the current reigning, Ginger Von Snap.

– MEET & GREET PHOTO OP – $5

*General Admission Tickets MUST be purchased in order to purchase the Meet & Greet Tickets.

DAY-OF-THE EVENT:
Tickets on the day of the event are priced as below:

FREE public parking is offered across Woodfin Street in the HomeTrust Bank parking lot.

Contestants will be judged in the following categories:

– INTERVIEW
– CREATIVE EVENING GOWN
– TALENT

The winner of Miss Blue Ridge Pride will enjoy a fantastic prize package that includes:

– The Miss Blue Ridge Pride full-round Crown (Valued at $175)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Around 10 volunteers will be needed to produce this pageant. Those volunteer positions are:

1 – STAGE MANAGER – Keeps the show going and makes sure everyone is where they are supposed to be at all times. Previous Stage Management prefered.

1 – STAGE ASSISTANT – Assists the Stage Manager with any needs.

2 – TICKETING – Checks names on a prepaid list and sells tickets at the door.

3 – DOOR GUARD – With stand post outside dressing room doors to only offer admittance to entertainers, contestants and dressers.

2 – BARTENDER – Serve alcoholic beverages. MUST HAVE A CERTIFICATION.

1 – USHER – Usher patrons to proper seating.
