103.3 Asheville FM & its LGBTQIA Talk Show – Sweet Tea, in partnership with The Getaway River Bar and Buncombe County Health and Human Services invites everyone eligible to a Monkeypox Vaccination Clinic on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 6-10pm at The Getaway’s Monthly event, Sausage Party.
Buncombe County Health and Human Services will administer vaccines at the clinic.
Vaccinations to protect against monkeypox are now available for:
Anyone who had close contact in the past two weeks with someone who has been diagnosed with monkeypox, and
Gay or bisexual men or transgender individuals who report any of the following in the last 90 days:
-Having multiple sex partners or anonymous sex
-Being diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection
-Receiving medications to prevent HIV infection (PrEP)The Getaway River Bar is located at 790 Riverside Drive in Asheville along the French Broad River. Sausage Party is their monthly event that invites gay men and allies to hang out.
