More on the APD’s new evidence room manager

Full announcement from the city of Asheville:

Effective March 4, 2013, Timothy P. Scapin will assume the position of APD’s Property and Evidence Manager.
Timothy is a law enforcement professional with over 11 years experience working in evidence management. He comes to our agency from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (Florida) where he was a two-time recipient of the Distinguished Service Award. He was the first individual in the State of Florida and one of the first in the world to be recognized as a Certified Property and Evidence Specialist by the International Association for Property and Evidence. Timothy holds a Bachelor’s of Public Administration degree from Barry University where he graduated with honors. He also earned a certificate in Crime Scene Technology from St. Petersburg College.

Timothy looks forward to serving the Asheville Police Department and the citizens of the City of Asheville with the highest degree of dignity, respect and integrity.
