Local singer/songwriter Terry Wetton grew up in England in the 50’s and 60’s and has fond memories of seeing The Beatles and many other influential groups that created the “Mersey Sound” perform in that magical time. So when Charlotte McGinnis, of the Namaste Center in Flat Rock, asked him to put on an event called “The Music of The Beatles” as a benefit fund raiser for the new Namaste Center of Spirituality, Healing & The Arts, he wanted to do it right!

He contacted his musician friends that also love this type of music to help him and ended up with a fantastic band! It features Andrew Robinson of WTZQ Radio, who also plays lead guitar for the prolific local band The American Gonzos, and two gifted musicians from a very successful Beatles tribute band in Charleston who agreed to join with the fun. Tommy Hamer is a fantastic drummer who just happens to be the son of Terry’s fiance, Julie Harness. Also, Julian (Jay) Volpe, Tommy’s lifelong friend, is an incredible bass player and student of the Paul McCartney method. And, of course, the lovable and super talented Terry Wetton who has been honored to have played the Beatles music all of his life!

Come and join us for an evening of nostalgia and excitement while taking a tour back in time to Liverpool, England in the year 1962. Beatle mania strikes again; well, actually, striking three times larger than last year’s sell out performance! Get ready to ride to the Cavern Club on Mathew Street and watch the magical music of the Beatles come back to life again! You definitely do not want to miss this event….
