David Joe Miller Presents brings spoken word entertainment to several Asheville venues every month.  Executive producer, David Joe Miller, chooses to join nationally and internationally known spoken word artists with local and regional artists at his shows.  David Joe, a professional storyteller since 1989, once opened for Grammy winner David Holt at the Smoky Mountain Storytelling Festival in Tennessee and immediately saw the positive affects of being heard alongside a nationally known talent.  He pays that forward now in hopes of helping other local and regional storytellers and poets achieve the same success.

On Thursday, August 18, David Joe Miller Presents will feature Adam Booth in a story writing workshop at the Thomas Wolfe Center for Narrative at Lenoir-Rhyne University on Montford Ave. in Asheville.  The workshop, “Mining The Fools Gold,” will teach participants how to write Tall Tales using personal stories and personal experiences.  This event is sponsored in part by The Thomas Wolfe Center for Narrative and The Asheville Storytelling Circle.  Fee is $35 at the door or online at: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/mining-the-fools-gold-with-adam-booth-tickets-26520525606. Workshop takes place on the 3rd floor in room 316 at 36 Montford Ave. from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.  Registration is required if you are planning to pay at the door.  Please contact davidjoetells@yahoo.com for registration and more information.
