Navitat Canopy Adventures’ season opens on March 31

Zip line canopy tour, Navitat, located 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, opens for the spring season on Saturday, March 31.

“Thrill seekers won’t be disappointed as they navigate the canopy on a series of artfully-designed sky bridges, rappels, tree-based platforms and 10 exhilarating zip lines – including one that soars more than 200 feet above forest floor, and some that reach speeds up to 40 mph,” says a press release. “Guests seeking quiet moments in nature will find those too. Located on 240-acres of pristine forestland, the tour site is home to dozens of native and rare plant and tree species, abundant wildlife and streams, and offers breathtaking long-range views of the Black Mountains, the Craggy Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest.”

Tours run each day from March 31 through the end of November. Daytime tours ate $89 for adults/$79 for youth under age 18. Exclusive “Navitat at Night” take place Saturday evenings at dusk. $99 per person. Go to www.navitat.com or call (828) 626-3700 to book a tour (reservations are required).
