NC House 115 District hand-eye recount complete, Bhakta gains one vote

Press release from Buncombe County Government:

Buncombe County Election Services staff have finished the hand-eye recount of the 20 precincts that included the NC House 115 district. The Buncombe County Board of Elections called to order a meeting at 3 p.m., on Friday, June 3, to certify the recount results. The hand-eye recount showed candidate Pratik Bhakta gained one vote. With the most votes, Bhakta will move to the General Election ballot.

In the Buncombe County District Attorney Democratic race, the second-place candidate Courtney Booth did not request a recount. Todd Williams will move to the General Election ballot.

Election results will be available at buncombecounty.org/vote.
