NC League of Conservation Voters’ Conservation PAC Endorses Attorney General Roy Cooper for N.C. Governor

Press release:

RALEIGH: Today, the NC League of Conservation Voters’ Conservation PAC proudly announces its endorsement of Attorney General Roy Cooper for the office of Governor. Conservation PAC works to elect a pro-conservation majority at the state legislature and in other key offices. Cooper’s actions in the NC General Assembly, as well as in the office of the Attorney General, show a firm commitment to the health and safety of the people and natural resources of North Carolina.

“In the race for the next Governor of North Carolina, Attorney General Cooper is the candidate who will work tirelessly to protect our quality of life and invest in a clean, renewable energy future,” said Dan Crawford, NCLCV’s director of governmental relations. “After four years of Pat McCrory putting polluters over people, North Carolina’s working families are ready for a change. Roy Cooper is the person to provide that change.”

Attorney General Cooper has been a consistent defender of clean air and water, fighting pollution in two major cases: requiring the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to install and operate basic pollution control equipment and the good neighbor provision to compel the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to enforce the Clean Air Interstate Rule. Additionally, Cooper continued the Smithfield Agreement to find ways to reduce air and water pollution from hog operations. He received the Catalyst Award from NCLCV at the 2009 Green Tie Awards.

“I’m proud to receive the endorsement of the NC League of Conservation Voters. We must preserve our incredible natural resources in North Carolina,” said Attorney General Cooper in response. “As Governor, I will protect our clean air and drinking water to ensure that North Carolina remains a great place for our children and grandchildren to call home.”

“McCrory’s policies and actions prioritize the health of corporate profits over the health of our children and seniors, while Cooper’s lifetime record of public service proves he is an advocate for working North Carolinians. Whether holding polluters accountable for harming our communities or finding opportunities to create sustainable jobs that are good for our economy and environment, Cooper is clearly the leader we need in the Governor’s office,” Crawford added.

  1. Yep

Is Roy the best the demorackkks can do? He’s just so so painfully shy and bland…

Ask Roy Cooper, as NC’s top law dog, if he is an OATHKEEPER ? Will he protect you and your family, or the government
in times of trouble , chaos, or martial law? ASK him! http://www.oathkeepers.org

Ask Van Duncan and Tammie Hooper TOO !!!
