NCDOT hosts small, disadvantaged business outreach June 19 at AB Tech

What: Contracting opportunities for small, disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs)

When:Saturday, June 19, 2021 10 a.m. – noon

Where: Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, ​Ferguson Auditorium
19 Tech Drive, Asheville, NC 28801

Details: The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Division of Highways in partnership with the agency’s Office of Civil Rights is inviting small, disadvantaged business enterprises to learn more about contracting opportunities with the department.
 
From 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, NCDOT staff will be hosting an in-person, outreach event in your area to explain how to do business with the agency, upcoming work opportunities in the area and how to apply for transportation contracts.

Types of contract work available include mowing, tree cutting, landscaping, snow and ice removal, emergency and janitorial work, traffic control, road maintenance, paving, striping and construction.     

Highway Division 13 includes Buncombe, Burke, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Rutherford and Yancey counties.

The event is hosted by NCDOT’s Chief Engineer’s Office. NCDOT staff will be available for interviews.
