NCWorks and AARP host Experience Works! Job Fair Aug. 17

The NCWorks Career Center Asheville and AARP are hosting the 2nd Experience Works! Job Fair for 50+ job seekers. The hiring event will be held on Thursday, August 17 from 10am to 1pm at the NCWorks Career Center Asheville, 48 Grove Street, Asheville, NC 28801. There will be a Job Fair Prep Session from 9am to 10am and those interested can call 828-251-6200 to sign up.

The Experience Works! Job Fair was designed specifically for 50-plus job seekers who bring talent, skills, dependability and experience to the job. Companies participating in the hiring event include A-B Tech Community College, American Security, arvato, Biltmore Farms, Express Employment Professionals, Home Instead Senior Care, HomeTrust Bank, Mission Health, Ocean X, Omni Grove Park Inn, ResCare Home Care, The Biltmore Company and YMCA of Western North Carolina.

The first Experience Works! Job Fair held last May attracted 100 job seekers over age 50. The opportunity is especially valuable to experienced workers where finding a job can take much longer than job seeking for younger workers.

NCWorks Career Centers has 80 locations across the state with shared mission of connecting employers with the talented workers. AARP the nation’s largest organization dedicated to bringing real possibilities to adults as they age.
