New summer concert series benefits local nonprofits

With some of the best views in downtown Asheville, Aloft Asheville Downtown is excited to announce its 2019 Sundays Live@Aloft concert series, which kicks off with a live performance by local musician Eleanor Underhill on April 28 from noon until 4 p.m. The event is open to the public and will benefit the Literacy Council of Buncombe County.

The 2019 Live@Aloft series will continue through August with each monthly event featuring a local band and benefiting a local non-profit organization. Additional event dates, from noon to 4 p.m., include:

July 21st

“We are excited to host this talented lineup for 2019 Sundays Live@Aloft and look forward to bringing a fun event series to hotel guests and Asheville locals,” said Aloft Asheville Downtown’s General Manager Drew Walls. “The series also gives us a reason to come together as a community and give back to five non-profits that are doing wonderful things in Asheville.”

Held at the hotel on The Ledge, all Sundays Live@Aloft events offer spectacular mountain views surrounding downtown Asheville. Aloft’s W XYZ bar features local craft brews, cocktail favorites and light snacks during each event.

Attendees can enjoy beer samples from local breweries, including Highland Brewery, Bold Rock, One World Brewing Co., Ginger’s Revenge, Eurisko Brewery and Oskar Blues Brewery. In addition, food will be available for purchase at vendor stations, along with free samples of certain items. Vendors include Poppy’s Popcorn, SunShine Sammies, Imladris Farms, City Bakery and a variety of boutique shops. Mid-way through the event, a raffle drawing will take place; prizes will include a free night’s stay at Aloft Asheville Downtown, two $25 gift certificates to W XYZ bar and a variety of gift baskets.

Entry fee is $5 (which goes to Literacy Council of Buncombe), tasting wristbands are available for an additional $5, as well as an additional $5 for two complimentary beers. Tickets can be found at http://bit.ly/April28Aloft.
