Next Step Recovery holds 10th annual “Golf Fore Recovery” tournament fundraiser September 17

Press release:

On Saturday, September 17, 2016, Next Step Recovery will host its 10th Anniversary Golf Fore Recovery tournament at the championship Broadmoor Golf Links in Fletcher, North Carolina.

Next Step Recovery welcomes any and all businesses, organizations and individuals to participate and sponsor the event. The golf tournament is the nonprofit’s largest annual fundraiser and raises money for the transitional living program’s scholarship fund.

Most of our residents come to us with little to no hope,” says Susan Stader, Next Step Recovery’s founder and executive director. “Addiction has taken virtually everything from them—their jobs, their relationships, their self-worth.”

Next Step Recovery does not receive government assistance, relying solely on donations, grants and fees to sustain its programs and services. Over the past 10 years, the nonprofit has helped nearly 1,000 men rebuild their lives through long-term recovery from substance abuse.

We are still looking for more tournament sponsors and players,” Stader notes. “We’re hoping the community will really turn out to help us celebrate all the hard work our guys are doing every day.”

Golf Fore Recovery is a family-friendly, captain’s choice tournament with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. All handicaps and abilities are welcome.

Registration is $95 per player and includes a catered hot lunch, snacks and drinks, contests, prizes and a raffle. Alumni families may register for only $85 per player.

More information about the tournament, including online registration and sponsorships can be found on Next Step Recovery’s website at www.nextsteprecovery.com.
