NRCC hits Rogers on Democratic endorsements, economy

Here’s the message from Meagan Holder, deputy press secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee. The committee is supporting Republican candidate Mark Meadows over Democrat Hayden Rogers in the race for the 11th Congressional District:

Good Morning,

It is quite the understatement to say that North Carolina has suffered from the failed economic agenda of the Democrat party in Washington. However, Hayden Rogers is gathering quite the list of endorsement from national Democrats including endorsements from the DCCC, the Blue Dog Coalition and Heath Shuler.

Take a look at the direction of the North Carolina economy under Rogers’ party:

– The unemployment rate rose to 9.6 percent in July.
– North Carolina ranks 5th out of all 51 states in highest unemployment rates.
– There are still roughly 200,000 jobs yet to be recovered after 300,000 were lost during the recession in North Carolina.

As you follow Hayden Rogers’ unabashed pride in representing Democrats’ job-destroying policies, please consider the following comment:

NRCC COMMENT: “Hayden Rogers cannot accept national Democrats’ endorsements fast enough even after yet another month of 9.6 percent unemployment in the state under their policies. Rogers’ priority should be the needs of Blue Ridge families, not Washington Democrats’ job-crushing agenda.” — NRCC spokeswoman Meagan Holder
