OLLI’s Reuter Center Singers to perform Broadway hits and holiday favorites, Nov. 17 and Dec. 9 & 14

The Reuter Center Singers, the community choir of OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, will bring harmony and cheer to three Asheville venues in three very different concerts on Nov. 17, Dec. 9, and Dec. 14.

The singers, now in their 21st year and directed by Chuck Taft for their entire history, are dedicated to fostering community connections, and often bring musical uplift to veterans events and area retirement communities. With Thanksgiving and the December holidays approaching, the Reuter Center Singers now provide a trio of public performances, all accompanied by pianist Nora Vetro.

Nov. 17 – Broadway Now and Then!

· This concert showcases selections from Hamilton, Grease, Showboat, Oliver, Fiddler on the Roof, Opening Night! and more – 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, at Biltmore United Methodist Church, 376 Hendersonville Rd., Asheville. Admission is free; donations are welcome.

Dec. 9 – Holiday Concert at UNC Asheville’s Reuter Center

· With contemporary holiday songs, traditional choral music and classic carols, the Reuter Center Singers will welcome music lovers to a concert at their home base, and mingle afterward at a free reception – 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, at UNC Asheville’s Reuter Center, Manheimer Room. Admission is free; donations are welcome.

Dec. 14 – The Reuter Center Singers at the Biltmore House Candlelight Christmas Evening Series

· Holiday music and cheer will warm America’s largest home on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 14. This is a ticketed event requiring paid admission to the Biltmore Estate and a separate reservation. For information and tickets visit https://www.biltmore.com/candlelight-christmas-evenings/
