OM Sanctuary invites the public to a Mother’s Day event

From the press release from OM Sanctuary:

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (May 2012) — OM Sanctuary invites families on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. to stroll on the Serenity Trail or bring a picnic to enjoy near the gardens. There will be a body-mind centering demonstration for all ages led by Shelli Stanback, Certified Instructor and OM Sanctuary President at 2:00 p.m. Mary Sparks will play her enchanting Hammer Dulcimer music on the grounds from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. The event is free to the public (with a suggested donation of $35 per family). To keep the grounds beautiful, all contributions from this event will go toward the irrigation system that broke while the former Richmond Hill Inn was going through bankruptcy.

To help in preparation for Mother’s Day, OM Sanctuary calls for volunteers to bring their gardening tools and helpful hands to help beautify the grounds Saturday, May 12 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Frank and Lisa Myers of Nirvana Landscaping will be on the grounds providing their expertise on techniques and approaches to “Mindful Landscape and Gardening.” Richard Fabio will teach a free class to the volunteers, “Yoga on the Lawn,” from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. to close the morning gardening activities.
