Overdose Awareness Day 2020 pivots to virtual event on Aug. 30

Press release from WNC AIDS Project:

In the last year, we have had reports of 1,357 Overdose Reversals. It is amazing and humbling to hear the wonderful and happy stories so many of our people tell when discussing how WNCAP’s work in Harm Reduction helps so many. Unfortionaly not everyone comes out of an overdose and we have lost many over the last year.

With that in mind, we have worked to ensure that Overdose Awareness Day still offers those who have lost loved ones a chance to pay respect. We will be holding a virtual event on Sunday, August 30th from 4-6 PM, everyone is welcome. If anyone is interested in attending or would like to submit a name to be read around during the event please use the link in this email. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
