Pan Harmonia – Season 15

Pan Harmonia starts the month of February with fresh sounds of GeneratioNext!
Thanks to a grant from The Mary Duke Biddle Foundation, Pan Harmonia has created a mentoring program for young musicians at AC Reynolds High School. These students have received weekly coachings from working professionals, flutist Kate Steinbeck and bassoonist Rosalind Buda and others, in an intimate group setting at no charge.

The first concert by these GeneratioNext musicians takes place on Sun, February 1 at 3 PM at St. Matthias, 1 Dundee Street in downtown Asheville. Other Spring performances are in the works through Pan Harmonia’s “Shining Light Project,” which brings music to underserved audiences.

Pan Harmonia’s Sonata Series continues
A sequence of four programs from late January to early May, this series features a variety of instruments and treasured sonatas from the chamber music repertoire. The February concerts spotlights Kate Steinbeck, flute, Rosalind Buda, bassoon, and Ivan Seng, piano playing works by Camille St. Saëns, Joseph Jongen, Ludwig van Beethoven & NC composer Michael Burns. Performances take place at White Horse Black Mountain and in the newly renovated sanctuary of Asheville First Presbyterian Church.
