Pardee Hospital Foundation will host its annual gala, A Black Tie Affair, on Saturday, June 17, at 6 p.m. at the Technology Building at Blue Ridge Community College. The event will celebrate Pardee UNC Health Care’s dedication to serving the medical needs of Henderson County and Western North Carolina. The entire community is invited to attend this black tie event and enjoy a night of dinner, dancing, live music, silent auction, and raffle. As a new feature this year, the Foundation will offer silent auction items for online, pre-event bidding. Online bidders will be able to preview and bid on all available items in advance of the gala, giving attendees more time to enjoy the event. The online auction is available for everyone — even those who cannot attend the event and those living out of town. Visit pardeehospitalfoundation.org/gala to register for the silent auction, see the items available for bids, make a bid, and purchase a raffle ticket. Everyone is encouraged to register for the silent auction in advance of the event.
The evening will also include the special announcements of the Physician of the Year and the Philanthropist of the Year Awards.This is the fifth year that the Foundation will present the Physician of the Year Award, which is given to a Pardee physician whose career has been defined by medical excellence, dedication to compassionate patient care and a commitment to improving the lives of people throughout the community. This year, the 14th annual Philanthropist of the Year award will be given to a member of the community who has made an outstanding contribution to Pardee UNC Health Care, to Pardee Hospital Foundation and for the improvement of the community’s health care.

Pardee Memorial Hospital Foundation was approved as a nonprofit Foundation in January 1996. The Foundation exists to educate and inspire the community to support Pardee UNC Health Care. Since its inception, the Foundation has generated more than $30 million in pledges and cash gifts for Pardee services. Pardee UNC Health Care is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and is managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds.
