Pardee UNC Health announces positive COVID-19 patient

Press release from Pardee UNC Health:

As of today, Pardee UNC Health is currently caring for a patient in our hospital who has tested positive for COVID-19. The patient is in isolation. Staff who are on the patient’s care team have been notified of the positive test result and continue to follow CDC guidelines for healthcare personnel with potential exposure.
We fully anticipate having more patients with COVID-19 under our care in the hospital in the coming weeks. To maximize patient safety and privacy, we will not be providing updates on COVID-19 patient counts after today. Pardee will continue to care for any and all patients within the hospital and keep our community healthy.
Patient and Visitor Restrictions at Pardee UNC Health
Effective at 5 p.m. today, March 27, the Day Surgery entrance on Fleming Street will be closed until further notice. All other visitor restrictions remain in place.
