Park for free at city parking garages during snow storm

Full announcement from the city of Asheville:

ASHEVILLE – The City of Asheville’s Parking Services will offer free parking in parking garages beginning Tuesday evening due to the potential for upcoming heavy snow. People parking downtown are asked not to park at on-street metered spaces in order to leave room for plows to service downtown streets.

Parking garages at Rankin Avenue, the U.S. Cellular Center and Wall Street will be open for free parking beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11. The parking garage at Biltmore Avenue will open for free parking at 11 p.m. Patrons using decks are asked to pull tickets at the garage gate to help keep an accurate computer count of vehicles using the facilities.
