Park Ridge Health Wins Workplace Safety and Engagement Awards
Hendersonville, N.C. (July 3, 2012) – Park Ridge Health is the only hospital in Western North Carolina to be recognized in this year’s North Carolina Department of Labor Annual Safety Awards. Park Ridge was awarded a Gold Award for maintaining a workplace accident incidence rate of at least 50 percent below the average of the hospital industry across the State.

“We believe the health and safety of our team members is a critical element in creating the best place to work in WNC,” said Brandon Nudd, Director of Organizational Development at Park Ridge Health. “It’s exciting to know as a patient or as an employee that Park Ridge’s commitment to safety is of the highest priority.“

Last month, for the second year in a row, Park Ridge Health – along with 42 other hospitals operating within Adventist Health System (AHS) – also received the Gallup Great Workplace award, which recognizes the organization as having one of the best-performing and most productive and engaged workforces in the world. AHS was presented the award during the Gallup Summit on May 15 – 17 in Omaha, Nebraska.

“Park Ridge Health’s more than 1,100 team members work hard to offer health, hope and healing to our patients and our community,” said Jimm Bunch, President and CEO of Park Ridge Health. “This award shows that our employees exhibit a deep commitment to their work and the mission it represents.”
