PRESS RELEASE:

Dying for some Valentine’s Day excitement? Parkway Playhouse and the Nu Wray Inn are serving it up! Dying to be Loved – an interactive murder-mystery dinner is replete with a three-course, family style dinner as well as making each guest a suspect in the mystery that unravels as patrons enjoy their food. Dying to be Loved runs for two nights, Februry 12 and 13 at the historic Nu Wray Inn, located at 102 Town Square in Burnsville.

This is where Parkway Playhouse comes in. The 70-year-old theatre company has created an interactive murder mystery that plays out over dinner. A cast of actors portrays a gallery of suspicious dinner guests, one of whom ends up dead. How it happens and who committed the crime is up to the audience to determine.

“This is our second collaboration with the Nu Wray Inn on a murder-mystery dinner. The first one over Halloween weekend was big success” comments Parkway Playhouse Artistic Director, Andrew Gall. “Details of the plot and our cast are a secret because we don’t want any surprises to be spoiled. However, our last event was a blast. It sold out, and people have been telling us that they are looking forward to the next one. We are really excited to be working with the Nu Wray Inn to create these unique local events. We hope everyone who comes out has a blast.”

Dying to be Loved was created by Parkway Playhouse’s General Manager, Kristen Livengood, who oversees the theatre’s improv-comedy programming.

Tickets to Dying to be Loved can be purchased by calling the Nu Wray Inn at 828-682-2329. Tickets are $45 per person and admission includes a three-course dinner. (The entertainment suitable for kids 13 and up.)
