Pink Dog Creative extends after hours invitation to art lovers

The studios and shops of the River Arts District’s Pink Dog Creative will stay open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays throughout the summer. Artists have plans to keep studios open and provide live demos

The Pink Dog Creative is located at 342-348 Depot Street in a former textile manufacturing and warehouse buildings.

Asheville, North Carolina – The studios and shops of the River Arts District’s Pink Dog Creative will stay open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays throughout the summer.

Artists plan to keep open studios and provide live demos. Participating businesses that will be open late include The Asheville Running Company, The Junction and Fresh Wood Fired Pizza West. The Junction will offer a Thursday night drink special, Pink Dog Punch, with ingredients changing weekly but including wines, liquors and fruit juices. Fresh West will add to their offerings with specials such as the Mona Pizza.

The Paintbox will host live music weekly, and artists participating include Patti Anastasi, Richard Baker, Lynn Blass, Karen Keil Brown, James Davis, Mark & Julia Goldthwaite of The Paintbox, Jennifer Kincaid,  Andrea Kulish, Dyann Myers, Joseph A. Pearson, Patricia L. Philips, William Henry Price, Holly de Saillan and Viola Spells. These artists works include paintings, furniture, paper, jewelry, pysanky, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media.
