Public comment meeting on Southside set for Nov. 1

Here’s the press release from the city of Asheville:

PUBLIC MEETING: DR. WESLEY GRANT, SR. SOUTHSIDE CENTER
SPRAYGROUND, PLAYGROUND, AND TRAIL PROJECT

Asheville, NC – The City of Asheville Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department is hosting a meeting to invite public comment on the city’s next phase of construction at the Dr. Wesley Grant, Sr. Southside Center. The city plans to build a sprayground, playground, and a trail in the next phase of construction.

Individuals wishing to comment on the project are invited to attend a public meeting on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m at the Dr. Wesley Grant, Sr. Southside Center located at 285 Livingston Street.

The meeting will include a brief overview of the project, a Q & A session, and stations for attendees to discuss different aspects of the project with staff.

The public will be encouraged to fill out comment forms for city staff use.
Individuals may drop in from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. if they simply wish to fill out a comment form.
